The Role…

We are seeking a Studio Videographer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the Video Community, you will work with teams across all departments to support a wide range of video projects. The role involves regular filming in our in-house studios, alongside the setup and broadcasting of live and online events. You will also shoot on location for cover shoots, press junkets, events and more when required. In addition to production work, you will oversee the organisation and upkeep of studio spaces and equipment, ensuring all kit is fully operational, properly stored, and ready for use. This is an on-site role, requiring attendance in our office and studio up to five days a week.

Main Duties…

  • Film regularly within our in-house studios across a wide variety of video projects.
  • Set up, operate and broadcast live and online events.
  • Shoot on location for cover shoots, press junkets, events and other productions when needed.
  • Handle camera operation, lighting, sound recording and live event AV/livestreaming.
  • Maintain a diligent booking system for Hearst-owned kit.
  • Manage the check-in and check-out process for kit used in location shoots.
  • Book external kit hire when necessary.
  • Carry out regular maintenance checks, advise on repairs and upgrades, and ensure all equipment is stored and preserved correctly.
  • Maintain an organised, tidy and functional studio environment.

What We Are Looking For…

  • Demonstrable experience shooting video for online and social formats.
  • Strong understanding of camera, lighting and sound equipment, plus live broadcast mixing.
  • Experience managing or using equipment or studio booking systems (desirable).
  • Methodical, organised and detail-focused approach to work and environments.
  • Ability to identify the visual style and audience needs of Hearst brands.
  • A proactive communicator with a collaborative mindset and willingness to support the wider team.
  • An active interest in Hearst brands and their audiences.
