A leading engineering firm in the UK is seeking a talented Structural Engineer to design and analyze structures for innovative EPC projects in the power sector. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience, preferably in EPC environments, and must be proficient in structural codes and analysis software. This role offers the opportunity to shape the energy landscape with impactful engineering solutions.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of structural engineering experience, ideally in EPC environments.
  • Proficiency in structural codes and standards (IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI).
  • PE license preferred.

Location: 3500 Colonnade Pkwy Suite 550, Birmingham, AL 35243

We are looking for a talented Structural Engineer to design and analyze structures for cutting-edge EPC projects in the power sector, including gas turbines, renewables, BESS, substations, and transmission systems. You will be at the heart of transforming engineering concepts into safe, robust, and efficient structures that power the future.

What You’ll Do
  • Design and analyze steel, concrete, and composite structural systems.
  • Create and review calculations and designs for accuracy, code compliance, and constructability.
  • Evaluate vendor drawings and develop technical specifications for procurement.
  • Provide field support during construction and ensure seamless integration with civil and other disciplines.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share your expertise to elevate the team’s capabilities.
What You Bring
  • B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering with structural focus (PE license).
  • 7+ years of structural engineering experience, ideally in EPC environments.
  • Proficiency in structural codes and standards (IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI).
  • Skilled in structural analysis software (STAAD, SAP2000, or equivalent), AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
