We're looking for a dedicated professional to join our Adult Speech & Language Therapy Service at Ealing Hospital. This full-time role focuses on delivering expert therapy sessions to acute medical wards, supporting adult inpatients with complex needs-many of whom have English as an additional language (EAL).

As an autonomous practitioner, you'll manage your own caseload, provide second opinions, and offer specialist advice. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you'll ensure tailored therapy programmes and care plans are in place. Collaboration is key—you'll engage with patients, families, and colleagues across Health, Social Services, and the voluntary sector to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

If you're passionate about making a difference and thrive in a dynamic hospital environment, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate complex assessment and management information clearly to clients, carers, families, and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring well-coordinated, individualised care plans.
  • Demonstrate empathy and adapt communication strategies to meet individual needs, including cultural and linguistic differences, especially where significant comprehension or communication disorders exist.
  • Provide expert clinical care and advocacy for patients with conditions such as dysarthria, aphasia, dyslexia, stammering, cognitive communication disorders, and neurogenic voice disorders.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date case notes and produce professional clinical reports in line with RCSLT, HCPC, and local trust standards, using excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Essential Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist with:

  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent and member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Health Care Professions Council - License to Practice.
  • Evidence of training e.g. structured self‑directed study / formal courses using regular appraisal of research & evidence base to develop knowledge.
Benefits
  • Competitive pay rate
  • Work with one of the top and best‑performing NHS Trusts in the country
  • Access to Health Assured (mental health and wellbeing support)
  • First access to shifts with the ability to block book shifts in advance
  • Comprehensive compliance support
  • Holiday pay, pension scheme, and online CPD training opportunities
