Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) who is looking to join our multidisciplinary team?
As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will work with a range of individuals to maximise their potential and to enable them to enjoy the best possible quality of life. You will independently assess communication needs in a range of environments, implement high and low tech AAC systems based on assessment outcomes, and provide functional targets and recommendations to aid day-to-day communicative success. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and support the implementation of the therapeutic approach across the environment. You will respond to referrals and be responsible for ensuring an inclusive communication environment is maintained, audits are completed and the RCSLT 5 good communication standards are utilised. A key aspect of your role will be to work effectively as part of the companywide SLT team and contribute to service development.

Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours; part time considered

This is a unique post where you will deliver an SLT service and provide support to individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), often with complex needs and challenging behaviours. You will receive full induction training, excellent clinical supervision, CPD and developmental opportunities for clinical and non-clinical duties. You will be supported by our onsite multidisciplinary team and participate in routine service meetings with companywide Speech and Language Therapists.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team, respond to referrals, and contribute to ensuring an inclusive communication environment and service development.
The successful candidate will have a degree or postgraduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent) and be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). Experience with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorders and preferably AAC experience are desirable.
