Specialist Interventional and Fluoroscopy Radiographer

Overview

Due to the imminent opening of the Hybrid Vascular theatre at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, we have an exciting opportunity to expand our existing team of Specialist Radiographers.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Radiographer to join our established team of Interventional and Fluoroscopy Radiographers. The successful candidate will work in the Interventional Radiology suite, Hybrid theatre and Fluoroscopy, providing high quality imaging to assist Consultant Radiologists, Vascular surgeons, Registrars and Advanced Clinical Practitioners. We undertake procedures in angiography, embolisation, EVAR, line insertion, biliary and urology intervention and vascular access for dialysis.

Main duties and responsibilities
  • Work as part of the Interventional radiology or Fluoroscopy list, including day-to-day running and supervision of support staff and student radiographers.
  • Provide high quality imaging to support Consultant Radiologists, Vascular surgeons, Registrars and Advanced Clinical Practitioners.
  • Work across the Interventional Radiology suite, Hybrid theatre and Fluoroscopy, and participate in the Community Diagnostic Centre for outpatient Fluoroscopy services.
  • Take part in the Interventional Radiology on-call system (24/7, 365 days).
  • Develop and undertake extended imaging roles after initial training; department supports extended practice and role development.

Working pattern: Monday – Friday 9–5; some extended days to accommodate Hybrid theatre hours. 18.75 hours also available.
