Overview

Are you a University graduate? Are you interested in supporting children with autism and other neurological conditions? Are you passionate about helping others, with a patient and encouraging approach?

A Specialist School near Oxford are seeking a dedicated Graduate to join their team as a Special Needs Support Assistant. The school caters for children aged 4-16 with complex needs, including autism, sensory processing difficulties, communication challenges and associated learning needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support and encouragement to help students reach their potential.
  • Foster a calm, structured and positive environment to reduce anxiety and build each pupil’s confidence.
  • Learn to roll out specialist interventions to support communication, social interaction and sensory needs.
  • Assist with challenging behaviours, pastoral care and personal care.
