Description

DAC Beachcroft is looking to appoint an Experienced Paralegal/ Lawyer to join our Chronic Pain team and are open to accepting candidates nationwide.

Our market leading motor injury team works with over 40 insurance companies and self-insured corporates. The team has a progressive approach and a market leading reputation for not simply tackling litigation, but also for tracking and analysing behaviours and trends with a view to providing our clients with bespoke strategies and analysis of changing market behaviours.

The team deals with injury claims of all values and complexity and is seeking a passionate individual who can think outside the box and contribute creatively to solutions.

What you will do?

Provide assistance to lawyers in running Chronic Pain files of high value and importance to our clients.

  • Assuming responsibility for agreed tasks on a claim including, but not restricted to:
  • assisting with investigations
  • handling disclosure
  • obtaining and reviewing medical records
  • obtaining details of suitable experts and their waiting lists
  • preparing bundles for experts and counsel
  • registering and updating CRU
  • Ensuring appropriate key dates reminders are in place on all matters.
  • Ensuring that a timetable exists to enable the progression of the case to resolution.
  • Prompting the principal lawyers to action matters diarised.
  • Recording timely and accurate management information and maintaining management documents.
  • Developing technical knowledge through completing online courses, attending training sessions and reading appropriate publications.
  • Handling routine correspondence and communications with the client, third parties and claimants’ solicitors in order to book and arrange conferences and examinations and acting as first point of contact.
Who you are
  • Reporting to the principal lawyer and team partner, the ideal candidate will have:
  • A keen interest in working on complex and catastrophic injury claims
  • A knowledge of Chronic Pain is desirable
  • Previous experience of dealing with litigated bodily injury claims
  • Good commercial awareness with an ability to provide commercially rounded advice to clients and view matters from a business perspective.
  • A flexible attitude with an ability to adapt to rapid change, both internally and in the context of clients' businesses.
  • The ability to work as a team player with a collegiate approach to knowledge sharing and problem solving, both internally and with the clients.
