Job description

As a Software Engineer Apprentice, you’ll learn how to design, code and test programmes using the latest tech. Reporting into one of our engineering teams, you’ll work on exciting projects to gain practical experience and insights into our business.

You’ll also enhance your soft skills and learn how to provide basic technical support to users and customers. Working with services such as AWS and programming languages such as C#, Python, .NET, CICS and COBOL, you’ll gain exposure to the full software development lifecycle.

Alongside your role, you’ll study towards a BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions degree provided by Nottingham Trent University.

Whilst coding is an important part of being a Software Engineer, you'll also brainstorm and develop solutions with your team, attend planning sessions and work with a variety of people across teams and in time, drive and lead technical solutions independently. You may have to translate technical work to non-technical colleagues.

Our apprenticeships are permanent opportunities, and you'll take part in our structured Early Careers Development Programme which is packed with workshops, short-courses and online material designed to help kick-start your career.
