Join us in Hereford to drive improvements for children and families within Safeguarding and Support teams. This is a full-time opportunity for a qualified social work professional to contribute to our Restorative Journey of Improvement and achieve exceptional outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively manage one of five social work teams, ensuring high-quality supervision and case direction.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Practitioner to support and develop your team of social workers and family support workers.
  • Undertake child protection work, PLO pre-proceedings, care proceedings, and adoption tasks, focusing on improving outcomes for children.
  • Deliver services using relationship-based and restorative practices, contributing to our shared mission.
  • Engage with the council's legal team to oversee court applications, ensuring compliance with timescales.
  • Participate in monthly supervisions, receiving both formal and informal guidance to hone your skills.
  • Contribute to identifying training needs and facilitating professional growth within your team.
