Job description

A leading Facilities Management contractor is currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee construction and FM-related works on a live site. This role is being recruited on behalf of our client by a specialist recruitment agency.

Role

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of FM construction works onsite, ensuring all activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing and coordinating all FM works onsite, including subcontractors and direct labour
  • Acting as the main point of contact on site for the client and FM teams
  • Ensuring works are delivered to programme, budget, and quality standards
  • Writing, issuing, and managing Permits to Work, RAMS, and other site documentation
  • Monitoring health & safety compliance and enforcing site standards at all times
  • Conducting site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks
  • Reporting progress, issues, and risks to senior management
  • Ensuring minimal disruption to site operations during works
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within FM, construction, or maintenance environments
  • Strong understanding of FM works in live environments
  • Experience writing and managing Permits to Work
  • Solid knowledge of health & safety regulations and safe systems of work
  • SMSTS (or SSSTS), First Aid, and CSCS (essential)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
