We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Working Capital Assistant to join our growing Finance team!

Department Purpose

The Belfast Finance department provides services to the A&O Shearman network of offices covering management and financial accounting & reporting, revenue control, credit control, accounts payable and tax. Main offices currently served are London, Belfast, US, South Africa, Dubai, Israel, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany.

Role Purpose

Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about finance? Do you thrive under pressure? We are seeking a proactive Senior Working Capital Assistant to join our dynamic Finance Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in finance, working closely with experienced professionals in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support the management of billing, accounts receivable, & allocation of cash
  • Resolve cash discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and collections.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end billing activities related to working capital.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation.
Key Requirements
  • Previous experience in a finance, accounting, or administrative role (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
  • Demonstrate resilience when required
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within a finance team.
