Role: Coke and Refinery (Technical Assessor)

Contract: Role

Location: Remote, UK coverage

We are seeking a Technical Assessor experienced in manufacturing coke oven products. As an external assessor, you will play a vital role in the UKAS assessment process, providing expertise to ensure robust evaluations in Coke and Refinery sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess manufacturing processes related to coke oven products, coke and semi-coke, pitch, oven gas, crude coal, lignite tars, and coke agglomeration.
  • Understand environmental impacts and standards related to coke and refined petroleum production.
  • Evaluate processes for motor fuels, refinery gases, and petrochemical products.
  • Gain on-site understanding of carbonisation, distillation, mineral oil production, coke oven gas, and by-products.
Qualifications:

Degree in organic chemistry preferred; extensive experience in the field will also be considered.
