Overview

Our leading global consulting, construction engineering client is seeking Senior Project Managers on a permanent basis to support Severn Trent Water projects based out of Tamworth. Our client has global reach, supporting intelligent infrastructure delivered in sustainable and environmentally friendly ways. They have 20,500 employees operating across 100 countries, deploying their expertise to develop and deliver cutting-edge innovations and solutions for end clients. This is an exciting time to join the consultancies new Project, Programme, PMO and Commercial Management Capability in the United Kingdom which is undergoing a transformative phase. The Senior Project Manager will lead transformative infrastructure programmes across the UK, initially working on complex and AMP8 projects for Severn Trent Water. You will work across capital delivery programmes and have the chance work on rail, nuclear focused projects in the future.

Responsibilities
  • Take charge of multi-million-pound projects from early planning to final account
  • Lead NEC3/4 contracts with confidence and strategic clarity
  • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with industry leaders and clients
  • Use ECI/ESI to maximise project outcomes through intelligent design + build execution
  • Influence stakeholder decisions and supply chain performance at scale
  • Manage and administer NEC3/4 contracts (Options A, C & E) on the client side
  • Drive budget control, payment valuations, and monthly certifications with QS teams
  • Oversee forecasting and defined cost planning to ensure financial precision
  • Draft key contractual communications-EWNs, Compensation Events, and more
  • Scope projects and build accurate cost & feasibility studies
  • Prepare and evaluate tender documentation with sharp insight
  • Identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate closely with contractors during design phases
  • Lead project delivery and contract administration
  • Monitor project expenditure and manage cash flow with commercial discipline
  • Navigate change orders and variations with authority
  • Resolve claims and disputes, and final account reconciliation
  • Final accounts and post-project evaluation
  • Forge new business opportunities with both existing clients and new partners
  • Leverage cross-sector insights to identify and activate cross-selling opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with Programme Lead to shape compelling bids for new work
Skills/qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's Degree qualification in a numeric degree
  • Full Membership of chartered body such APM at MAPM
  • Valid CSCS card; Water Hygiene Card (desirable)
  • NEC (3/4) accreditation (preferred)
  • Familiarity with CDM regulations and risk management
  • This role is subject to client interview and acceptance
Benefits
  • Salary range £65-80k depending on experience
  • Monday - Thursday - 37.5 hour working week
  • 26 days holiday, increasing by 1 day for 1 year served and up to 28 after year 3
