The successful candidate will have significant proven marketing experience at Marketing Manager or Senior Marketing Manager, ideally within or relevant to the children’s book industry. Creativity is vital, married with strategic thinking, commercial awareness, digital expertise and a firm focus on results. You will be a strong project manager and a first‑rate communicator. Ambitious, innovative and resourceful, you will be buzzing with ideas and the knowledge of how to translate them into action while inspiring the team around you.

Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative, strategic, experienced Senior Marketing Manager to join the Hachette Children’s Group multi‑award‑winning marketing team. This is a key senior role in the team, with responsibility for delivering industry‑leading, commercially effective marketing campaigns for some of HCG’s biggest books and brands. You will lead the marketing department’s digital marketing strategy and output, as well as taking a specific leadership role in the launch of new acquisitions. We offer a creative environment within an enthusiastic and collaborative team. There is significant opportunity for professional development within the role and, as part of Hachette, you will benefit from an extensive training library and development schemes such as mentoring.

The role will be based at our London or Sheffield office, with a blend of in‑office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.
