Job Vacancy: Senior Healthcare Assistant

Location: The Old Downs Residential Care Home in Dartford, Kent. Contracted hours: 33 hours (to include – every other weekend free, as applicable). Work flexibility in accordance with your availability and the service requirements. (Hourly) rate of pay: £13.50

As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will enjoy being part of an exceptionally supportive team, welcoming you into providing outstanding physical, emotional, and social assistance to the people living at The Old Downs Residential Care Home.

We are currently on the lookout for a positive and motivated individual to join our growing team as a Senior Health Care Assistant. We require someone who is deeply passionate about caring for the elderly. You will also need to have a genuine drive to manage a care team responsible for those using our services, including our residents, their families, and visitors.

Nellsar is committed to developing and training our staff to ensure high quality care is provided to our residents and the successful candidate will receive ongoing training and development with opportunities for progression within the Company, including apprenticeships for new and existing staff.

You will have the opportunity to excel whilst:
  • Providing leadership to the care staff within the service.
  • Providing care in accordance with current best practices, policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements and relevant regulations, under the direction of the manager.
  • Carrying out and supervise the care services within the organisation in accordance with agreed standards.
  • Maintaining skills at a current level, and undertake such training and development as may, from time-to-time, be required to maintain practices as up to date.
  • Supervising staff and ensuring that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service.
  • Supporting effective communication with the residents’ families, friends, advocates or representative around all aspects of care and wellbeing.
