The Senior Audit Manager Role

Working closely with the Audit Director and management team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional audit services, developing junior staff, and supporting the growth of the audit function. You’ll be hands-on with client work while helping shape the team’s future.

• Lead audits from planning to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and quality is maintained.
• Review accounts and provide constructive feedback to junior team members.
• Support the Audit Director with supervision, team training, and development initiatives.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide on-the-job coaching.
• Help allocate workloads across the team and manage resource planning.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, attending meetings and identifying new opportunities.
• Deliver internal CPD training and stay up to date with legislative changes.
• Contribute to team best practices and efficiency initiatives.
• Begin building your own portfolio of clients to manage and grow.

About You

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Proven experience leading audits from planning through to sign-off.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Demonstrable experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with clients.
• Motivated, proactive, and eager to contribute to a positive team culture.
