Job summary

A leading mining company in St. Ives is seeking a professional for a community engagement role responsible for managing stakeholder relationships and community initiatives linked to exploration and operational activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cultural heritage management and stakeholder engagement in the mining industry. This position offers an 8/6 roster, relocation support, and various benefits including a quarterly bonus and generous leave policies.

Qualifications

The Opportunity

This role will be responsible for supporting the management of stakeholder relationships, social risks, and community engagement strategies to support Gold Fields’ exploration and operational activities.

This role is offered on an 8/6 roster and is available either FIFO from Perth or on a residential basis in the Goldfields Region (Kambalda, Kalgoorlie, or Coolgardie).

Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
  • Build strong relationships with native title and community stakeholders
  • Coordinate engagement and consultation activities
  • Support cultural heritage work across operations and projects
  • Ensure compliance with native title and heritage agreements
  • Work with internal teams to align community initiatives with business goals
  • Help align social performance practices with global standards (ICMM, UNDRIP, UNGPs)
You will have:
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, native title, and cultural heritage management (mining/resources)
  • Tertiary qualification in social performance or related field (desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of legislation and global standards
  • Proven ability to build relationships and facilitate stakeholder dialogue
  • Current manual driver’s licence
