Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a well‑established and forward‑thinking chartered accountancy firm based in Northwest London to recruit a Senior Accounts Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of a diverse client portfolio within a firm known for delivering high‑quality, commercially focused financial solutions to UK and international clients.

The role

Reporting directly to the Partners, you will play a key role in managing client relationships and overseeing the delivery of accounts and advisory services. The position offers a strong balance of technical work, client engagement and team oversight.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Accounts Manager will include:
  • Managing a varied portfolio of corporate and owner‑managed business clients.
  • Reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts and tax computations.
  • Acting as a trusted adviser to clients, providing practical and strategic guidance.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
  • Liaising with Partners on workflow planning and client service delivery.
  • Ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently and to agreed deadlines.
The ideal Senior Accounts Manager:
  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a UK accountancy practice at Manager or Senior Manager level.
  • Strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax.
  • Confident managing client relationships and providing commercial insight.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused approach.
