English, Maths and Science Home Tutors

TeacherActive are currently recruiting tutors to support the learning and development of children requiring home tutoring. We are committed to closing the attainment gap for children outside of formal schooling and work with children services to enable Looked After Children to make progress in line with their non-looked after peers. Tutors provide learning assistance for young people preparing for exams or re‑adjusting to mainstream education, with a focus on core skills in English, Maths, Science and behaviour management.

Skills and Experience
  • Teachers for all subjects required, with a particular focus on English and Maths.
  • Understanding and appreciation of working with vulnerable young people in the care system and those with SEN.
  • Positive behaviour strategy knowledge and experience of helping children self‑regulate emotions.
  • Valid enhanced DBS check.
  • Excellent written communication and reporting skills.
  • Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
