SEN Teaching Assistant – Special School & Satellite Centre – Kingston/Merton

Location: Kingston & Merton
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (2–19 provision).

An exceptional special education provider in the Kingston area is seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join their main school and newly opened satellite centre. The school supports children and young people aged 2–19 with a wide range of complex needs, including:

  • Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
  • Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
  • Physical Disabilities
  • Complex Medical Needs
  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
  • Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
About the Role
  • Supporting pupils with a diverse range of needs, including PMLD, SLD, ASC and complex medical needs.
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group learning support, tailored to EHCP targets.
  • Assisting with communication development, sensory learning and physical programmes.
  • Supporting pupils with personal care, mobility and feeding where required.
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists and medical professionals to provide a holistic and nurturing environment.
  • Helping maintain an engaging, safe and inclusive learning space.

  • Confidence supporting pupils with physical disabilities, medical needs or complex learning profiles.
  • A caring, patient and proactive approach.
