Full-Time Science & Maths Teacher - Lewisham

£180-£270 per day. Immediate Start. Full Academic Year.

We're recruiting for a confident and experienced qualified teacher to join a specialist SEN provision in Lewisham. This is a full-time role, five days per week, starting immediately and continuing until the end of the academic year. This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher with strong subject knowledge in Science and Maths, and a passion for supporting pupils with complex needs.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver Science (to Entry Level) and Maths (up to GCSE) across KS3 and KS4
  • Take pastoral responsibility for a KS4 form group of 10 Year 10 pupils
  • Cover additional sessions in ASDAN, PSHE, and similar subjects
  • Responsible for your own planning and curriculum delivery
  • Supported by 1-2 experienced TAs in each class
Learner profile

Pupils present with a range of special educational needs, including:

  • Autism spectrum conditions
  • Speech, language and communication difficulties
  • Emotional and behavioural challenges
