Job summary

Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs in a secondary school setting?

GSL Education are looking to appoint a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Sheffield.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and differentiated learning strategies.
  • Support students both in and out of the classroom to ensure engagement and progress.
  • Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to review meetings when required.

  • Previous experience supporting students with SEN, ideally within a secondary school environment.
