Overview

Second Chef – Full Time Permanent position at our Restaurant in Mortonhall Garden Centre. Our competitive rate of pay is £13.10 per hour. Hours for the role are 45 per week over 5 days. All positions include weekends working so flexibility is a must.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Head Chef in the operation of all areas of food production and cleaning in the kitchen.
  • Work as part of a small team under the guidance of the Head Chef and be responsible for the preparation of our fresh ingredients for our full menu range.
  • Prepare fresh ingredients.
  • Prepare hot and cold food orders to order.
  • Monitor stock levels and contribute towards the ordering process.
  • Work efficiently to ensure low levels of waste.
  • Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards.
  • Close down kitchen each day including preparation for the following day.
