A leading construction materials supplier in Maidstone seeks a Sales Manager for Trusses & Metal Web. This role requires driving sales growth through deep customer understanding and providing solutions that preempt issues. To deliver significantly improved year on year organic sales and margin growth through a mix of incremental sales from existing customers and the generation of new business. Above all the over achievement of growth targets is paramount to success. As a 'Challenger' the Sales Manager - Trusses & Metal Web role requires a mindset that ensures customers are not simply sold to, but that their business model and individual circumstances are fully appreciated. Delivering solutions to pre-empt issues customers are yet to face will be instrumental in supporting the accomplishment of targets set. Working from an improvement of enquiry generation for internal stakeholders while also generating new business estate wide the Sales Manager - Trusses & Metal Web will 'own' their core offering and be an expert on all building activity within it. Supported by either Central / Regional sales offices and branches, the SM will draw upon all relevant resources around them to ensure customers are fully serviced by all facets of the business offering. Attention to detail in reporting and CRM is key to ensure a footprint of all activity is recorded. Accurate reporting will support credit management decision making and allow targeted marketing to the right customer segment at the right time. Close customer relations and a total appreciation of build methods, regulations and product usage are critical to ensure the Sales Manager - Trusses & Metal Web fully understands what is affecting the customers they are dealing with. An empathy with customer projects and awareness of market conditions are critical to allow the SM to properly fulfil their role and add value to the customer. Being able to make decisions in the field through accessing relevant data and information digitally are required to support customer decision making.
