Technical Network have been retained by a market leading intelligent automation and industrial robotics manufacturer who are seeking a Business Development Manager to represent the company’s after sales products and services and provide best in class support to customers.
Sales Manager - Aftermarket (Robotics / Factory Automation)
£50–60,000 salary + car + BUPA + excellent commission
Responsibilities
- Identify end user manufacturing customers to provide innovative robotic and factory automation systems, products and services.
- Identify business opportunities for new robot sales, upgrades, spare parts, service contracts, training or consultancy services.
- Visit customers to maintain and update existing accounts and develop increasing robot and automation business.
- Promote aftersales products and services to ensure best customer experience based on robot uptime, efficiency and optimisation.
- Work in coordination with Area Sales Managers and Key Account Managers to proactively seek out sales and growth opportunities.
- Translate customer technical requirements into solutions and generate quotations and technical proposals that meet client requirements.
- Visit customers post-delivery and commissioning to ensure successful sign-off.
Requirements
- The role requires an individual with both a driven personality and willingness to understand the technicalities of factory automation and industrial robotic solutions.
- Proven track record selling Industrial Automation products (industrial controllers/sensors/actuators etc), Industrial Robots, Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR), Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) or similar products into the manufacturing sector.
- Demonstrate successful technical solutions sales career, winning new business and growing existing client accounts within the field of industrial automation/robotics/sensors.
- Experience in managing projects, preferably in machinery or robotics with downstream automation of production processes.
- Commercial ability relating to project costs and contracts, margins and sales pricing.
- Qualifications to HNC/Degree level in an engineering discipline.
- Positive attitude with desire to take ownership of territory and grow market share.
