About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic GP to join our friendly, well‑organised, and forward‑thinking practice in central Reading. We are seeking a full‑time Salaried GP (ideally 8 sessions per week).
About Us We are based over 3 sites with a modern, purpose‑built premises on Milman Road, with a patient list size of approximately 20,000 and plans for further growth. The practice is part of Reading Holybrook PCN, alongside Broadstreet Medical Centre and Abbey Medical Centre. All practices are fully integrated via the Dr Mittal and Partners Partnership and have a strong reputation for delivering innovative projects locally.
Our Team We have a highly skilled multidisciplinary team including clinical pharmacists, social prescribers, paramedics and physicians assistants. We are also a training practice with an outstanding programme for professional development and staff support.

Our Offer to Salaried GP Colleagues
£10.6k £13.5k per session (4 hours 10 minutes per session) depending on experience
Defined workload per session, with job plan agreed based on experience:
15 patients per session
Management of own self‑generated administration (including own path/docman)
Fixed share of lab and pathology reports according to Banding
Fixed share of clinical letters, according to Banding up to a maximum 15 Docman per day
Pro‑rata share of home visits
6 weeks annual leave plus bank holiday allowance pro‑rata
1 weeks study leave allowance pro‑rata
Comprehensive induction and mentoring/development through our GP Competency Framework
Encouragement and support for portfolio working, with opportunities to take on lead roles in the PCN, ICB, and LMC
Involvement in training and research encouraged

Key Responsibilities
Provide high‑quality clinical care to registered patients in line with GMC guidance and NHS requirements.
Manage patient consultations, including diagnosis, treatment, and appropriate onward referral.
Undertake allocated sessions comprising:
15 patient appointments per session
Management of own self‑generated administration (including own pathology and Docman tasks)
Fixed share of laboratory and pathology reports
Fixed share of Clinical letters (Docman) workflow
Participate in the duty doctor rota as required.
Share in home visiting on a fair rota basis
Contribute to practice meetings, clinical governance activities, and service development.
Engage in personal and professional development, participating in annual appraisal and revalidation processes.
Contribute to PCN initiatives, training, and research projects as agreed.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
