Job description

City Square Medical Group in Tower Hamlets is looking for aSalaried GP 4 - 6 sessions to work across 2 sites, Deancross Street and Cable Street branch. We are a friendly innovative practice. 4 Partnerswith a team of doctors, pharmacist, nurse practitioner, First contactphysiotherapist, practice nurse and health care assistants. Full support fromreception, administrative and management staff. List size 13,000 + and growing,GMS, Emis Web. Part of an enthusiasticPCN and members of a federation, working together with local practices to achievebetter clinical care. Focused on team working, training and continuouslydeveloping our staff.

We work from two Purpose built premises with dedicatedparking. Salary £11,000 per session + Medical Indemnity cost reimbursed.

Main duties of the job
  • In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake duties including surgery consultations, telephone/video consultations and queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion
  • Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the practice or external organisations
  • Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
  • Effectively manage own time, workload and resources
  • Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
  • Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols
  • Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate
  • Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
  • Contributing to QOF requirements and recording data appropriately
  • Contributing to PCN requirements and recording data appropriately
  • Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions
  • Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate and review as and when required
