Overview

Our client is currently recruiting for an SC cleared Safety Manager to be responsible for managing the platform safety aspects of the power section of in service submarines. This is a contract role starting ASAP until 28 February 2026 with scope to be extended. A hybrid working arrangement is available. The role offers a day rate of up to £570 per day (Inside IR35).

Key Tasks

• Management of all aspects of safety within DAPW and Attendance at meetings, communication of all safety related aspects
• Attending and managing actions to the SEC, HRG and HLHs which are applicable to the electrical DA
• Providing data and information into meetings, communication and managing completion of actions
• Attending HAZIDs, managing safety assessments of DAPW design changes.

Experience

ESSENTIAL

• Experience managing safety in an engineering environment
• Experience with UK submarines

DESIRABLE

• Understanding of electrical/electronic systems on UK submarines.
