Overview

Senior Rotational Clinical Pharmacist role at ESTH. An exciting opportunity for motivated individuals to enhance clinical expertise while honing management skills. Includes progression to specialised roles in paediatrics, antimicrobials, education and training, critical care, renal medicine, and biologics and homecare. Support available to pursue the Independent Prescribing qualification.

Working pattern: Full-time (37.5 hours per week). Flexible working arrangements including part-time/job-share may be considered.

Responsibilities

Work across multiple rotations including critical care, paediatrics, surgery, and various medical specialties. Daily duties include ward-based tasks, chart reviews, clinical interventions, optimising medication regimens, patient education on medications, screening discharge prescriptions, and supporting junior or trainee pharmacists. Lead audits and drive quality improvement initiatives. During 6-month rotations, provide a comprehensive pharmaceutical service and develop managerial skills toward agreed objectives. This position may involve on-call duties.

Qualifications

Essential

  • General Pharmaceutical Council registration
  • Certificate in clinical pharmacy (12 months complete and working towards 18 months)

Desirable

  • MSc in Clinical Pharmacy Practice or equivalent; management training
  • Full Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
  • Management training
Experience
