A healthcare trust in the UK is looking for an experienced Midwife to join their research team. This role offers training and support for a new study and aims to maintain a growing portfolio of research in reproductive health. The ideal candidate will have significant experience as a Registered Midwife, with opportunities for career development. The position is initially offered for 18 months, with potential for permanence. Join a supportive and innovative team making a difference in public health.
For further information about this role or to arrange an informal visit/chat, please contact Dawn Athorn via email: telephone: 01924 543975 or Bev Taylor via email: telephone: 01924 543775. (Please note that we do not offer shadowing opportunities).
The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trusts Research Department is looking for an experienced Midwife to join their team. Since the appointment of the first Research Midwife at MYTT in December 2021, the reproductive health, neonatal and paediatric portfolio has grown beyond expectations and is now supporting multiple studies and over 19,500 participants. To maintain the impetus and continue to develop and grow the portfolio, we are now looking to appoint a Midwife primarily to support a new study developed from the BaBi portfolio.
You will be offered training and support to take on this role and development to support the existing portfolio of work. Experience of the research process is desirable but not essential. You will learn about the research delivery process from expression of interest through feasibility, set up, study delivery, close out and archiving. It is expected that you will assist the Senior Research Midwife and the wider reproductive health research team in maintaining and developing the portfolio, as we seek to realise our ambitions to develop a program of research from within the Born and Bred in (BaBi) Wakefield public health study.
Opportunities for additional training to develop in the role will be supported. Additional training and development will be considered on a case by case basis.
The job is offered for a period of 18 months initially and may become permanent subject to ongoing funding.
