Remote Senior Software Engineer at Teamup

We are a close-knit team building business management software for the fitness community. Our software is used by hundreds of business owners across 5 continents in 4 languages. We have a high market share in several markets and have a solid roadmap for expanding into new markets and niches. We help fitness businesses sell their services online and save time on administration so that they can focus on their members and athletes.

We are product and engineering driven. All team members have understanding of our customers’ businesses and are involved in planning and prioritizing improvements to the product. You will be our third engineer and first engineering hire.

Our team is entirely remote with the core team in London (UK), Richmond (VA), and Chicago (IL). We would prefer candidates be located near one of those cities so regular in-person meetings can take place, but we will consider good candidates based anywhere.

We are looking for someone who can:

• Head up new feature development through inception, design, implementation and testing
• Perform day-to-day bugfixes and improvements
• Communicate well on a remote team

Teamup is a Django application running on AWS. We regularly experiment with new technologies, frameworks, and paradigms and use whatever solution solves the problem. Our product is fully translated into several languages. We ship new code daily.

Our ideal candidate will have experience with:

• Python development, ideally some familiarity with Django
• Engineering new features and systems
• Building web-based front ends
• Automated testing
• An initial salary of £40,000 to £50,000 with regular reviews based on company and individual performance
• Up to 1% equity depending on experience and performance
• A generous allowance for gym memberships and fitness classes
• A technology allowance
