My client is looking for a Regulatory Affairs Manager (Independent Consultant) to strengthen its European regulatory affairs team and support the registration of plant protection products in the United Kingdom.
Mission 1 – Manage UK Ecotoxicology Registrations
- Prepare, submit, and maintain registration dossiers for plant protection products under the UK regulatory system, liaising with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and other relevant authorities.
- Ensure compliance of ecotoxicology sections across all stages of the application process, including post‑approval management and renewals.
- Keep abreast of evolving regulatory guidance and ensure alignment with EU zonal frameworks where applicable.
Mission 2 – Provide Scientific and Technical Expertise
- Review and interpret ecotoxicological studies for various active substances (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides) and application methods (spray, drip irrigation, seed treatment).
- Apply sound knowledge of risk assessment principles, ecotoxicology guidelines, and statistical analysis.
- Integrate up‑to‑date approaches, including the latest EFSA and UK HSE guidance on birds, mammals, and bees, into dossier preparation.
Mission 3 – Lead Projects and Collaborate Across Borders
- Manage multiple registration projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
- Interact effectively with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory authorities to clarify requirements and provide scientific justification.
- Contribute to strategic decisions within Sharda’s European regulatory network and support coordination with colleagues in continental Europe and India.
This position is for you if you demonstrate :
- Proven experience in ecotoxicology and registration of plant protection products in the UK and / or EU regulatory environment.
- Strong analytical and scientific skills, including data interpretation and study review.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken; experience engaging with UK authorities (HSE) is a strong advantage.
