Job summary

A government health department in Launceston is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Community Dementia Services. This role involves delivering high-quality nursing care in partnership with patients and their families in their homes. The ideal candidate must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, possess a current driver’s license, and have experience working in aged care. Job description
The Team:

The Community Dementia Services is part of Primary Health North. This service provides care for clients in the greater Launceston area seven days a week, delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers and the Launceston community.

The Role:
  • The RN works to improve health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals in the client's home.
  • The Community Dementia team is a supportive, engaged and dedicated team enriched by our Hospital Norths ‘CARE’ values - Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
You will need:
  • Experience working within Aged Care / Community Nursing preferred

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, casual, position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 months.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary:

$80,524 to $109,175 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
Salary Packaging:

You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
