A leading environmental services company in Portsmouth is seeking a Bid Manager to drive new business development and manage contractual projects. The candidate should have necessary qualifications including bid writing skills, project management experience, and a background in the waste industry. To take strategic responsibility for securing new business gains within the £100k market sector of a Veolia territory in support of the Regional Sales team growth targets. Establish foundations for long lasting and profitable business with large and high profile customers within the territory across a cross section of industries and sectors. Act as Project Manager for all contract tendering exercises, acting as the point of reference throughout the process. Ensure the operational stakeholders are fully briefed and understanding of the customer requirements as part of the Bid/No Bid process and subsequent commercial decisions. Guide and support the financial monitoring team and lead the subsequent commercial bid sign off process aligned to the appropriate delegation of authority levels. Support the Veolia Bid Team to ensure all submissions are produced with the appropriate stakeholder involvement/content and submitted aligned to the correct timescales. Liaise with the Veolia legal team to review all contractual requirements/liabilities prior to the commercial bid sign off process and any post award contractual negotiation. Manage the integration of new customers through their contract implementation prior to handover to their Account Manager.
