Qualifications

  • Extensive commercial experience, ideally within MEP or building services.
  • Proven experience leading commercial teams across projects or regions.
  • Strong working knowledge of SBCC, NEC and bespoke/amended contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and reporting skills.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office 365 and commercial systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics NAV).
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the regional commercial strategy, aligned with wider business objectives.
  • Provide expert contractual and commercial advice, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating terms.
  • Oversee applications for payment, valuations and the agreement of final accounts.
  • Manage all commercial aspects of project delivery, including variations, notices, delay analysis and loss & expense.
  • Support your team in identifying and maximising commercial opportunities.
  • Lead subcontractor engagement, negotiation and commercial performance.
  • Direct monthly cost and value reporting and contribute to revenue, margin and profit forecasting.
  • Ensure effective cashflow management across the region.
  • Collaborate with pre-construction teams on bids, tenders and risk reviews.
  • Lead, mentor and develop your team, driving consistency and best practice.

The Regional Commercial Manager

As a Regional Commercial Manager, you’ll work closely with our regional teams and Commercial Director, leading a high‑performing commercial team and playing a key role in shaping commercial strategy, decision‑making and profitable project delivery across the region.

This is a hands‑on leadership role with real influence, balancing detail, risk and opportunity while keeping sight of the bigger picture.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a commercially astute leader with a practical, hands‑on approach, someone who understands the detail but can also operate at a strategic level.

Essential
  • Extensive commercial experience, ideally within MEP or building services
  • Proven experience leading commercial teams across projects or regions
  • Strong working knowledge of SBCC, NEC and bespoke/amended contracts
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and reporting skills
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office 365 and commercial systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics NAV)
  • Full UK driving licence
Desirable
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar
  • Experience with group reporting and audit compliance
  • A strong track record of mentoring and developing commercial teams
  • Ability to collaborate across regions to share knowledge and drive improvement
