Job summary

A leading transport engineering company in the East Midlands is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Engineer for a permanent position. You'll be responsible for space allocation, maintaining design mock-ups, and overseeing technical discussions within multidisciplinary teams. The role requires a Mechanical Engineering Degree and experience applicable to heavy industry, preferably in railway design. Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in mechanical engineering applied to heavy industry.
  • Desirable experience in railway design.

Responsibilities

  • Perform space allocation according to Electrical Lead inputs.
  • Maintain Space Allocation Mock-ups in line with maturity rules.
  • Create annotated SAM for exchanges with suppliers.
  • Check compliance of supplier feedback with relevant SAM.
  • Perform 3D detailed design of parts and harnesses.
  • Define interfaces with stakeholders.

Skills

Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent
Mechanical Engineering in heavy industry
3D Modelling and drawing creation
English basics for communication
CATIA V5 (or similar)
PLM (Enovia or similar)
