Overview

We are working with a well-established Tier 1 contractor, recognised for delivering large-scale construction and civil engineering projects across the UK. They are now seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Site Surveyor to join the team on one of the country's largest EV battery developments - a £4bn project based in Somerset.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor / Site Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting the successful commercial delivery of this landmark project. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing costs, contracts, and valuations.
  • Assisting with procurement and subcontractor management.
  • Supporting reporting and forecasting to ensure budget control.
  • Working closely with site teams to monitor progress and resolve issues.
  • Contributing to the smooth running of both site and office operations.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Site Surveyor within construction or civil engineering.
  • Strong commercial awareness with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable with a site/office split - 3 days per week at the head office in Harrow and 2 days per week on-site in Somerset.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
