Job description
Overview

Morson are working for one of the UK's leading Aerospace Manufacturers who are looking for a Quality Engineer with First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) experience to join their team at the Luton Site.

Responsibilities
  • Product Safety & Quality Assurance: Ensure product quality planning, realisation, and delivery activities are completed in compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Quality Culture and General Quality Support: Exemplify a safety and quality-first mindset and ensure compliance with the companies Cultural Principles, HSE, and Quality policies and standards. Support site, group, and team leaders in developing and nurturing the site's Quality Culture. Provide quality-related support and advice to the organisation for developing, improving, and maintaining Product Safety and Quality awareness through unsolicited consultation, feedback, and training.
  • Zero Defects Quality Planning: Identify and document customer, regulatory, and in house system, product, and process requirements in Programme Quality Assurance Plans and Product Quality Control Plans. Collaborate with Engineering teams to align design specifications and production process capabilities and define effective process controls and unambiguous product acceptance criteria for product safety and zero defect delivery. Work with ME and Operations to identify and plan projects/initiatives to reduce or eliminate Cost of Poor Quality at the source (sites).
Required Skills
  • Technical expertise in Manufacturing/Quality Engineering.
  • Strong communication, presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills to build and maintain trust and effective internal and external working relationships.
  • Ability to conduct First Article Inspection (FAI).
  • Experience managing and assuring Product Quality Assurance and Improvement in New Product/Process introduction (industrialization) and existing Production Realisation.
  • Knowledge and experience of ISO 9001, AS/EN/JISQ9100, Aviation Regulatory (EASA, FAA, etc.), and customer quality requirements.
