Job description

Prime Life is an established provider of health and social care, with an operating history of over 40 years. The company has a turnover of c.£100m and operates over 2200 beds in some 64 homes across the country.

Prime Life operates a central administration function from its Knighton base in Leicester, with finance, human resources, sales, procurement and estates teams established here. The operational units then function on a regional basis, across the Midlands and into the North of England.

Role Description

As a Purchase Ledger Assistant, you will report to the Purchase Ledger Controller and will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of post/emails ready for posting
  • Matching, checking and coding invoices
  • Invoice processing (data entry onto the system)
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Filing of invoices
  • Invoice/cost analysis
  • Dealing with payment and invoice queries with external suppliers
  • Processing BACS and cheque payments when necessary
  • Ad-hoc duties

Further accounting responsibilities in general posting, purchase ledger liaison and management account reporting will also be required on an ad hoc basis.

Prime Life Office

Prime Life office operates 9am to 5pm, 5 days a week, whilst the individual homes are on a 24-7 operation.
