About the Centre for Water Technology and Policy

The Centre for Water Technology and Policy at The University of Hong Kong, established in 2018, conducts cutting-edge research on water technology-policy interface issues that would result in findings of direct practical relevance for Hong Kong’s urban water sector. About the position

The Centre invites applications for the position of Project Officer to support the implementation of applied research and knowledge exchange projects, in particular a citywide water conservation project that targets high-consumption users in both the domestic and the non-domestic sectors. The appointee will assist with logistical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth project execution.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Responsible for participant registration and managing follow-up communications
  • Coordinate fieldwork schedules with participating sites and other external parties
  • Maintain project records, including participant agreements, inventories, and data logs
  • Support outreach activities and project-related events
  • Perform any other duties as assigned
Qualifications and requirements
  • A recognised Bachelor’s degree or above
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (including MS Word and MS Excel)
  • Good written and spoken communication skills in English and Cantonese
  • Attention to details; Good interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively with a team, and to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines

The appointment will commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal, subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. Other benefits include annual leave, medical benefits, and free access to on-campus gyms and libraries.
