Project Manager – Defence & Maritime

An exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join a leading organisation in the defence and maritime sector. This role offers the chance to lead high-profile projects that deliver real impact, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

What You’ll Do

• Lead end-to-end project management across complex programmes or multiple smaller projects.
• Act as the main point of contact for customers, building strong relationships and managing contractual changes.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones are met.
• Track progress, financial performance, and earned value metrics.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
• Manage and support the development of your project team, including performance reviews.
• Collaborate with marketing and business development on bid preparation.
• Oversee supplier selection and performance to ensure delivery success.

About You

You’re a proactive, organised, and commercially aware Project Manager who thrives in fast-paced, multi-project environments. With a proven track record in delivering complex projects—ideally in the defence or maritime industry—you’re confident engaging with stakeholders at every level.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Strong project management expertise with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full driving licence and ability to obtain security clearance.
• Previous experience within a military capacity (Army, Navy, MOD).

Desirable

• Recognised project management qualification (e.g. APMP or equivalent).
• Knowledge of the defence IT industry and project lifecycle.
• Familiarity with risk management tools and earned value analysis.
