Overview

What’s it all about?

Operating a £20M turnover business, they have several offices across the SW region, with a chunk of the work in the heart of Somerset and Devon. Typically, they deliver a range of projects from £100,000 – £10m and this could include anything from small earthwork projects, kerb realignments, right the way through to large infrastructure schemes and larger heavy civils projects.

The Role

They are currently looking for a Project Manager to sit on a £6M infrastructure scheme in Plymouth and this person will be responsible to plan, programme and deliver the entirety of the project. You will take full ownership and be responsible for the day to day delivery of the project in terms of cost, value, schedule, safety, quality, environment and stakeholders.

Other duties include:

  • Understand and able to work with company systems and processes and put an effective information management system in place
  • Involved and able to guide decision making to ensure that decisions taken on the project are robust and meet project goals and objectives
  • Understand risks and evaluates options for mitigation and control.
  • Build working relationships with Client, Supply Chain and project staff
What you need?

Ideally, you will be a No.1 Project Manager, experienced in delivering highways projects of a similar value. Commercially astute, you will have a bit of something about you and be happy to work autonomously
