Job summary

A facilities management company is seeking a Minor Works Project Manager to oversee projects valued up to £100,000. This role requires managing safety measures, subcontractors, and ensuring financial control while working across Filton and Newport sites. Candidates must have a strong background in Mechanical & Electrical works and be eligible for UK SC clearance.

Overview

Minor Works Project Manager - Facilities Management

Location: Filton, Bristol (with travel to Newport, South Wales)

Rate of Pay: £40ph Umbrella / £29.89ph PAYE

Job Type: 12 month initial contract, potential extension

Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of Services, you will oversee the delivery of minor works projects valued up to £100,000. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects, ensuring safety, quality, and financial targets are met. The role involves working across Filton and Newport sites, and requires eligibility for UK SC clearance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain visual project plans.
  • Implement and manage safety measures to reduce workplace incidents.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain financial control including margin management, cost tracking, and final account negotiation.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned.
  • Ensure adherence to operational policies and procedures.
  • Define project objectives aligned with organisational and client needs.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, including reviewing third-party risk assessments and method statements.
Requirements
  • Proven experience managing projects up to £100,000.
  • Strong background in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works.
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
  • NEBOSH certification.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Awareness of CDM regulations.
  • Successful candidates must be eligible for UK SC Clearance and nationality restrictions may apply.
