Job summary

As Commercial Project Manager, you will lead and coordinate commercial activities across very high level major energy asset projects.

Responsibilities
  • Managing cross‑functional and international teams while fostering a safe, inclusive, and psychologically supportive work environment.
  • Acting as a leadership role model, empowering project teams and bridging diverse cultures.
  • Overseeing all financial elements of projects – cost controls, financial optimisation, forecasting and reporting.
  • Planning and controlling commercial and risk activities across the full project lifecycle.
  • Leading procurement strategy development, advising on contract structures, and working closely with procurement and legal teams.
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders effectively throughout delivery.
  • Driving strong contract and claim management, including complex financial negotiations.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, legal frameworks, and high HSSE standards.
  • Implementing robust change‑control mechanisms aligned with financial governance.
Qualifications
  • A degree in a commercial, legal, or technical subject – MBA preferred.
  • Project management certification (PRINCE2, APMP, IPMA) and substantial experience managing complex technical construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of contract types, forms of contract, and commercial mechanisms.
  • Confident, clear, and persuasive communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel and collaborate with international teams.
  • Experience working across diverse cultural environments.
  • Strong MS Office capability and financial SAP skills.
  • Fluent in English (German beneficial).
