Qualifications

Location – Birmingham Area (Home based with site travel)

Are you a driven Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership, building strong relationships and seeing projects delivered properly from start to finish?

At Emtec Facility Services, we’re looking for a motivated Project Manager to join our projects team, playing a key role on a prestigious contract delivering a programme of building fabric and hard services remedial works across multiple sites.

This is a home-based role, ideal for someone located in the Birmingham area, with regular site visits forming a core part of the position. You’ll be trusted to manage projects end-to-end, supported by an experienced and collaborative team.

The Role

This is a varied and hands‑on role where you will take projects from inception, through to practical completion, ensuring excellence safety and efficiency at every stage.

  • Developing project scopes, programmes and cost control measures.
  • Managing site mobilisation in line with CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Coordinating with the supply chain to confirm construction arrangements and resource requirements.
  • Overseeing Health & Safety on site.
  • Managing main contractors, sub‑contractors and regional Project Supervisors.
  • Delivering site inductions and inspecting site set‑ups prior to works commencing.
  • Liaising closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Managing all client SLAs within project framework agreements.
  • Attending and contributing to site meetings, reporting on progress, risks and issues.
  • Carrying out final inspections, managing snagging and arranging remedial works.
  • Supporting the projects team with pricing individual projects and work packages.
What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in building fabric, construction or M&E trade, who enjoys a customer focused, team‑oriented environment.

  • Proven experience managing live construction sites and working with main contractors, principal designers, cost consultants, quantity surveyors and H&S consultants.
  • Strong technical knowledge in building fabric or mechanical and electrical background works within an FM environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience managing sub‑contractors and site‑based teams.
  • Experience collating, producing, and managing Construction phase information.
  • Excellent decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A valid SMSTS qualification along with First Aid at work and Asbestos Awareness Certificate.
Desirable Skills And Qualifications
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification
  • Experience producing construction phase plans, O&M manuals, programmes of work.
  • Knowledge of project framework agreements.
  • Valid CSCS card.
