Location: South Wales (Site visits required)

Job Type: 6 months initial contract

Rate: £450-£550/day

Overview

I have a really exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) with a strong background in Civils and drainage to join a major rail client. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of Civil Engineering and drainage works, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. This is a pivotal role in supporting the successful execution of critical rail infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery of Civil Engineering and drainage works, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Be a leader in ensuring Health & Safety standards are met.
Requirements
  • Previously held the CRE title within a Civils role.
  • Design and installation experience in Civils (Drainage).
  • Background in Contracting and Civil Engineering.
  • Ability to manage and direct site staff.
  • Knowledge of railway infrastructure work.
  • Familiarity with CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Review technical plans, drawings and materials to confirm they are correct.
