A well-established engineering firm in Southampton is seeking a Project Design Manager to lead a multi-disciplined team in producing design deliverables for the water, wastewater, and energy sectors. The ideal candidate will have an accredited engineering degree and experience in managing design projects. Qualifications

  • Experience working in design and construction organizations.
  • Previous/current involvement in the water/wastewater sectors.
  • Proven ability to manage a large team of Engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage design resources for project deliverables.
  • Manage interfaces with third-party designs from various stakeholders.
  • Implement formal design reviews throughout the project cycle.
  • Prepare reports against the DORM and Contract Programme.
  • Monitor design expenditure and mitigate overspend.
  • Maintain relationships with Clients and their representatives.
  • Act as the Principal Designer according to CDM Regulations.
