Qualifications

Overview

The Synergy Programme is the transition of 4 major public sector organisations to a new HR, Payroll and Finance system. Our team has been established within SSCL to support this transition, as a trusted partner and supplier. The transition is planned to take approximately 3 years and sits high up on the strategic objectives of the wider Sopra Steria group as well as being a high-profile programme from a Government Department perspective.

The role is reliant on the right practical skills, but we are also looking for a commitment to embody what we at SSCL value as an organisation. With significant changes anticipated in SSCL business processes, high levels of emotional intelligence and integrity are critical.

You will be working as a Project and Programme Planner under the SSCL Synergy Programme Manager as part of a large multi-disciplined programme, taking accountability for the successful delivery of projects by leading and driving the project delivery.

We value flexibility and understand the importance of a healthy work–life balance. As such, this role is primarily home-based, with monthly attendance at one of our Centre’s of Excellence and an additional requirement to attend client sites as and when necessary.

What you will be doing
  • Develop project plans and set robust baselines.
  • Support the production of statements of work.
  • Professional engagement with the customer, subcontractors, third parties and internal partners during the project's life cycle.
  • Establish effective and appropriate project controls.
  • Handle the project finances.
  • Support and coordinate technical experts in delivery of project outputs.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of, and regularly report, progress, plans, dependencies, risk and statuses clearly and accurately.
  • Be comfortable exercising initiative and working within agreed tolerances.
  • Escalate appropriately through the Programme Manager when necessary.
What you will bring
  • Current Project Management certification (i.e.; APM PMQ, Prince2, AgilePM).
  • Proven Project Management experience - Project Planning, Risk Management, Managing Conflict, Stakeholder Engagement, Managing Project Finances and
  • Communication of Management Information.
It would be good if you had
  • Experience in Business Transformation / Transition.
  • Leading projects in the ERP and CRM environment.
  • Business Process Analysis skills.
