Overview

Are you an experienced leader with a background in mechanical and electrical assembly? We're looking for a Production Supervisor to oversee machine build, assembly, and commissioning at our client’s facility in Crawley. This is a key leadership role ensuring projects are delivered on time, to budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and customer acceptance standards.
  • Review and interpret manufacturing packs and technical drawings.
  • Coordinate with Projects, Engineering, Purchasing, and Stores to ensure timely delivery of parts and equipment.
  • Assign and monitor tasks for Mechanical and Electrical Fitters, including supervision of subcontractors.
  • Manage Health & Safety procedures, lifting equipment documentation, and subcontractor inductions.
  • Oversee inspection, testing, commissioning support, and final buyoff before customer handover.
Qualifications
  • Qualifications: HNC in Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, robotic and/or pneumatic systems—ideally in the automotive or powertrain environment.
  • Technical skills: Competence in MS Office (Excel intermediate level).
