Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Production Scheduler in Dungannonto join the team.The Production Scheduler will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the flow of work through the shop floor to ensure on-time delivery, efficient resource utilization, and adherence to customer specifications and deadlines.Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ordering materials and consumables
  • Liaise with customers in placing orders and confirm prices
  • Ensure all orders are recorded with relevant codes/part number
  • Liaising with customers to receive Purchase orders and match these with POD’s
  • Schedule all jobs in alignment with labour capacity, equipment availability and material requirements.
  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long-term production schedules based on customer orders, job specifications, and resource availability.
  • Coordinate with Operations Manager and shop floor staff to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Monitor progress of scheduled work and adjust timelines or resource allocation as needed to meet deadlines and manage delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of production statuses and update internal systems accordingly on Sage
  • Responsible for end of month stock take and WIP
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Production Scheduler, Planner, or Coordinator in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Strong understanding of production planning, shop floor operations, and job sequencing.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software such as Sage or an ERP system and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent organisational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work across departments
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
